Councillor Hosts IYC Central Zone Officers in Amassoma, Partners on Youth Issues

Today, Hon. Innocent Clinton Sogo, the esteemed Councillor representing Ward 11 in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area (SILGA), had the honor of hosting two distinguished zonal officers from the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Central Zone in Amassoma. The visit included Comr. Ginah Ikio, Information Officer of IYC Central Zone, and Felagha Tombra, who serves as the Student Representative of Council.

As a former parliamentarian of IYC Ogboin Clan, Hon. Sogo utilized this occasion to strengthen partnerships with the zonal officers and address various challenges facing the youth in his ward. Discussions focused on enhancing educational opportunities, promoting youth engagement in local development initiatives, and resolving community issues affecting young people.

Expressing gratitude to his supporters and stakeholders, Hon. Sogo specifically acknowledged Hon. Felix Bonny Ayah, the Member representing Southern Ijaw Constituency 1 at the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, and Hon. Mrs. Elizabeth Bidei, the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs. He also extended appreciation to his father and elder brother, Hon. Sogo Love, as well as the esteemed residents of Ward 11 for entrusting him with the responsibilities of a councillor.

Hon. Sogo affirmed his unwavering commitment to serving the youth and community, pledging to uphold the trust placed in him by his constituents. He also commended Hon. Target Segibo, the Council Chairman, for his proactive youth employment plans, assuring continued support and collaboration in initiatives aimed at improving the lives of young people in SILGA.
