It is a solemn truth that the people of Bayelsa State are happy with the current Prosperity Administration.
This is a government that is not discriminatory and it is true that it is spreading projects to all the three Senatorial Districts of the State.
All the 24 State Constituencies have a number of projects initiated and constructed by the government through the State Lawmakers as Constituency projects.
It only takes a man of peace to bring peace and security to the land. Today, Bayelsa is blessed with a governor who is creating a great environment for every single citizen irrespective of political leanings.
He is not only professing his mantra of “Bayelsa first”, Governor Diri, is enjoying the best of relationship with members of the opposition.
He is a promoter of peace, love, unity and genuine reconciliation across the State. This is unprecedented and this rare act distinguished him as a bridge-builder and leader of all.
This is a landmark Governor who has initiated many projects and completed some inherited and abandoned ones across the State. This government has continued with the three Senatorial roads and constructed several internal roads within Yenagoa.
He has changed the secondary school curriculum to focus on Science, Technology and Vocational education in a deliberate move to build new skills and manpower among the young students. New Science, Technical and Vocational Colleges are being built and equipped with required workshop and tools.
Bayelsa in the past three years has become Nigeria’s sports destination. This is very evident in the many successes recorded by individual athletes and Bayelsa contingents/teams to national and international championships. What a great tool to make the young people distance themselves from social vices.
In health, it’s a new revolution with the sustenance of the Health Insurance Scheme and recently, the adoption of technology through Zipline’s drones for medical supplies to far flung communities has boosted access to health care.
Governor Diri says it’s “Bayelsa first” and that remains the driving force to building a united and prosperous State.
The desire to have a great State is a collective effort and today, continuity and consolidation with the current administration will move the State closer to its destination.
