Falana explains why Buhari’s deadline for impeachment is unrealistic.
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Femi Falana, a legal luminary, said on Thursday that President Muhammadu Buhari’s six-week deadline to address insecurity is unrealistic.
According to Track News, senators from opposition parties have given President Buhari a six-week deadline to address the country’s security challenges.
They also threatened to impeach the President if he did not address the insecurity within the time frame set by lawmakers.
Falana, on the other hand, stated this morning in an interview with Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily, which this newspaper monitored, that the National Assembly should have issued a seven-day ultimatum to President Buhari.
“There could be no National Assembly in six weeks,” Falana predicted.
The respected lawyer warned that the situation would worsen if the executive and legislative branches did not act quickly.
