Gov. Diri Totally Committed To Bayelsa’s Development, Growth, And Progress; George Turnah Tells Visiting Ogbia Ward 9 PDP Executives And Stakeholders

***Assures Benjamin Marabhin Remains Ward Chairman

YENAGOA___The Legal Adviser of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) South-South Zone, Barr. Alabh George Turnah, MON, has reaffirmed Senator Douye Diri’s unwavering commitment to Bayelsa State’s development, growth, progress, and overall prosperity. Turnah gave the assurance when members of the Executive Committee and stakeholders of Ogbia Ward 9 PDP led by its Chairman Hon. Benjamin Marabhin paid him a courtesy visit at his private residence in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

Turnah expressed appreciation to the people of the Ward on behalf of Governor of Douye Diri for their support, loyalty and commitment to the People’s Democratic Party and the Prosperity administration of Bayelsa State. Emphasising on the need for unity and cohesion amongst party members in the ward, Turnah assured his visitors on the continuous delivery of democratic dividends to the people of the State by the PDP government in the State.

While appreciating the Ogbia Ward 9 leadership of the party for comiing to rejoice with him over the appeal court victory of the party and its leader, Turnah urged the opposition in the State to accept the verdict of the nation’s court of appeal which validated the 2nd term mandate freely given to the duo of Sen. Douye Diri and Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo as Governor and Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State and support a smooth governance process conducive to state development.

Highlighting the achievements of the current executive committee of Ogbia ward 9 PDP, Turnah commended the performance of the outgoing executive committee in previous elections and encouraged them to maintain their efforts towards ensuring that they finish strong. George Turnah who clarified the significance of his role as PDP legal adviser in the South South Zone, noted that he remained the highest elected official of the Party in not only the Ward but across Ogbia LGA and Bayelsa East Senatorial District.

Dismissing the purported suspension of the Ward Chairman and his Vice by a group of recalcitrant members of the Party in the Ward, Turnah assured that Marabhin Benjamin and Progress Ederi remain the only recognised and legitimate chairman and vice chairman respectively of the PDP in Ogbia Ward 9.

On the upcoming Party Congressess, Turnah assured that stakeholders will convene at the appropriate time to establish procedures for electing a new executive committee that will work for the overall interest of the Party and its teeming members in the ward.

George Turnah seized the opportunity of the visit to apologize to Governor Diri and the government of the State on behalf of the ward for any disruption caused by a few dissenters who seek to undermine the Governor’s developmental initiatives, including the recent school buildings renovation saga….
