Igbo Presidency: Peter Obi Should Be President – Ex-Minister
By :Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed
Olu Falae, a former Nigerian Minister of Finance, has noted that although he was unaware of socio-cultural organization, Afenifere’s position on Labour Party’s Peter Obi, he would support the South East for president in 2023.
Track News Nigeria understands that Falae, a former Minister of Finance, stressed: “if you are a fair-minded Yoruba person, you will realise that there are three legs to the political tripods in Nigeria, the Hausa/Fulani, Yoruba and Igbo.
“The first two have been presidents and so, equity requires that the Igbo should be president.
He added: “So, if you are a fair-minded Yoruba person like I am, then you will vote for the Igbo based on equity.”
Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, is one of the frontline candidates for the 2023 presidential election holding next February.
Obi commands a substantial amount of support, especially online. His supporters call themselves the ‘Obidients’.
