Lawmaker Partners NICO, Trained and Empowered 300 Youths and Women in Silga Federal Constituency Of Bayelsa State

Member of the House of Representatives, Federal Republic of Nigeria, representing Southern Ijaw federal constituency, Hon. Engr. Rodney Ambaiowei, has sponsored and trained 300 youths and women on various skills in southern Ijaw federal constituency of Bayelsa State.

The exercise, in collaboration with the National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO), has trained constituents on modern fish farming, Peanut, Soap making, Perfume, and Powder.

Over the course of the program, several youths and women from various communities in the Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency participated in the training at the various centers in Otuan Community, Southern Ijaw Constituency 1 and Oporoma Community in Southern Ijaw Constituency 2.

At the end of the 3-days training, the lawmaker expressed happiness over the exercise, saying the gesture has impacted on a lot of youths and women, with the commitment of constituents to learn new skills toward improving their living standard.

In addition to the training, Hon. Rodney also provided grants to the participants to support their businesses and urged them to judiciously utilise the opportunity toward supporting their family and the society at large.

The training and empowerment program was a success, and it is hoped that it will have a positive impact on the lives of the participants and the Southern Ijaw Federal Constituency as a whole.
