Oshiomhole: What Tinubu Will Do If Elected President in 2023

Adams Oshiomhole, a former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, revealed on Sunday what the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, would do if elected in 2023.
Tinubu, if elected in the upcoming election, will make education and skill acquisition mandatory for Nigerians, according to Oshiomhole.

This was stated during an interview on Channels TV by the former Governor of Edo State, who is now the Deputy Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The people behind the country’s security crisis, according to Oshiomhole, are citizens whose welfare has been ignored by successive governments.

“Those we refer to as bandits, in my opinion, are people who the country has dehumanised since they were children, denied them access to education, spent their entire lives begging, living from hand to mouth under the weather (and) nobody cares,” he said.

“The public is unable to locate their parents, and they are now in their late twenties, uneducated, and struggling to survive. Even if they have to survive by begging, those who can give alms are becoming scarce, so they have resorted to banditry.

“Asiwaju focused on the long-term solution. We must acknowledge that accepting amajiri as a given in the twenty-first century is a bad thing. Aside from formal legality, every Nigerian should have access to universal basic, compulsory education.

“The logic is that if you have to have a child, you have a legal obligation to make sure that child attends school, at least up to primary school.”
