Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola has denied the Peoples Democratic Party (PDPclaim )’s that it was denied access to two rally venues in the state.
The state chapter of the PDP claimed that it was denied use of Osogbo Township Stadium, the Technical College field, and Freedom Park for its final campaign rally on Thursday.

In response to the claim, Sunday Akere, Special Adviser to Governor Oyetola on Political Affairs, told ThisDay on Thursday that the PDP failed to book the two venues on time.

According to Akere, the opposition party’s lack of organization cost them the aforementioned venues.

He stated that a youth group had reserved the stadium ahead of the PDP, while the minibus union had reserved the freedom park.

Akere stated that the absence of a venue has nothing to do with the deployment of thugs, urging security personnel to be aware of the PDP’s threat.

“It is unfortunate that the PDP decided to book the venues after other groups had done so due to a lack of proper organization.”

“While other parties have used many public facilities, it has no bearing on who wins an election.” “A youth group has reserved the stadium ahead of them, while the mini bus union has reserved the freedom park,” he explained.
