PDP Blast Tinubu Over Cabinet Reshuffle, Questioning New Ministers Appointment.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is slamming President Bola Tinubu’s recent cabinet reshuffle, questioning the appointment of new ministers to replace the sacked ones.
They’re essentially asking, “How can you replace filthy rags with another filthy rags?” – implying that the new ministers might not be any better than the ones they’re replacing.
President Tinubu’s cabinet shake-up saw five ministers get the boot, including Barr. Uju-Ken Ohanenye (Women Affairs), Lola Ade-John (Tourism), Prof. Tahir Mamman (Education), Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo (State, Housing and Urban Development), and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim (Youth Development).
Seven new ministers were appointed to take their places, pending Senate confirmation.
Some notable appointments include Bianca Odumegu-Ojukwu (Minister of State Foreign Affairs), Nentawe Yilwatda (Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), and Jumoke Oduwole (Minister of Industry).
The PDP’s criticism raises concerns about the effectiveness of these new appointments and whether they’ll bring about real change. Will these new ministers truly address the country’s pressing issues, or are they just replacing old faces with new ones?
