The picture of Ondo State Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa sitting on the seat of power in the state in place of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, has emerged.
The Acting Governor who recently took over power from his Boss could be seen trying to sign/write something on a document. Aiyedatiwa had after assuming office amid the crisis that trailed it emphasized the significance of peace and unity for the accelerated development of the Sunshine State, aligning with the vision pursued by Governor Akeredolu.
In a broadcast, Aiyedatiwa acknowledged the challenges faced in the past few months in Ondo, describing them as “beyond human comprehension” but framing them as a temporary delay in the democratic journey.
Reflecting on his assumption of duty as acting governor, Aiyedatiwa expressed the pain of hindrances caused by natural factors. In a letter transmitted to the House of Assembly on Tuesday, Governor Akeredolu designated Aiyedatiwa to oversee governance in an acting capacity as he prepares to travel abroad for medical attention, likely this weekend.

Aiyedatiwa further appealed to the people of the state to maintain prayers for Akeredolu’s swift recovery.
