Stanley Olajide (PDP-Ibadan South-West/North-West) of the House of Representatives said he had distributed N30 million to his constituents as support for their businesses and Sallah celebration.

He told reporters in Ibadan that the financial assistance benefited 2,000 people.

The cash contribution was made as part of the lawmaker’s annual empowerment on Eid-el-Kabir.

Olajide, also known as “Odidiomo,” had distributed N50,000, N25,000, and N15,000 to various categories of beneficiaries who presented their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).

During his three years in the National Assembly, he claimed to have empowered constituents through various programs that could lift them out of poverty.

Among the programs mentioned by the legislator are fishing training, poultry farming, animal husbandry, tie and dye, paint production, and ICT.

Olajide claimed to have provided start-up capital for traders and artisans, as well as bursaries for deserving but financially disadvantaged students.

“I constructed classrooms, boreholes, and maternity centers,” he says. Now is the time for our people to receive more financial assistance in the form of deliberate cash awards.”

The legislator promised his constituents that he would always do their bidding as long as he was their representative.

In separate remarks, some prominent party leaders, including the beneficiaries, praised Olajide for his consistent support.

They dubbed the legislator a “miracle worker” for his selfless charitable efforts.

The leaders urged constituents to vote for the lawmaker again in order to distribute more democratic dividends across the two council districts.
