“We Don’t Support Peter Obi” – Fulani
Mohammed O. Taoheed reports,
A cultural and ethnic group of the Fulanis, called Miyetti Allah, has called on the Fulanis in the country not to vote for Peter Obi in the upcoming 2023 presidential elections.
This was contained in a statement issued on Sunday and obtained by Track News Nigeria, with the group describing the former Governor of Anambra State as a ‘tribal bigot’
In the words of the Miyetti Allah, Obi has the interest of Biafra which would not favour Fulanis in anyway in the nation if he emerge as president in 2023.
Saleh Ahassan, the National Secretary-General of the Fulani socio-cultural group, claimed this against Obi in a recent interview with the media.
Miyetti Allah further noted that Obi should not be chosen for the presidential seat comes the approaching election.
As said by them: “As far as we are concerned, we know those we cannot vote for. You see that they call Obi or Obidient, any Fulani man who votes for him must be questioned because he may not be a true son of the soil.
“Obi represents the Biafran interest. So, we know those we cannot vote for and those that cannot be president of Nigeria. He is a tribal bigot.”
