The ongoing presidential election petition tribunal in Abuja is not new to us. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Asiwaju Tinubu as the winner of the February 25th election. The former Lagos state governor had reportedly defeated Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, polling over eight million votes

However, a Public Affair Analyst, Opunabo Inko Tariah, has claimed during a newspaper review with plus TV Africa that there is sufficient evidence to demonstrate that the election results were manipulated. According to him, INEC did not follow its own guidelines, which stipulated that the results from the polling units must correspond with the ones on the IREV before announcing them. This process was not followed, and there are enough indications to suggest that the presidential election results were rigged. The BVAs were used to facilitate this process.

The outcome of the 2023 Presidential election is being contested at the presidential election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja, and it is alleged that there was a manipulation of the results. Asiwaju Tinubu had been declared the winner of the election by INEC chairman after polling over eight million votes, defeating Peter Obi of the Labour Party and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party. However, Public Affair Analyst, Opunabo Inko Tariah, has claimed that there is enough evidence to show that the election results were manipulated. INEC was said to have gone against its own guidelines by not transmitting the results from the polling units in real-time to the IREV before announcing them.
