Alhaji Abdullahi Tanko Yakasai, National Co-ordinator of Nigeria Young Professionals For Tinubu (NYPT) 2O23, has urged Nigerians to support Bola Ahmad Tinubu because the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate will rescue the country from insecurity and poverty if elected.

Yakasai spoke in Kano when he gathered political stakeholders at the NYPT office in Yankaba, Nassarawa local government area, to celebrate Tinubu’s election as APC flag bearer and Kashim Shettima’s selection as running mate.

He named Tinubu as the NYPT’s grand patron, urging everyone to support the APC ticket “because the former Lagos Governor will end poverty, starvation, and hunger in the country.”

“We have gathered here for two reasons: to congratulate Sen. Bola Ahmad Tinubu and his running mate, and to mobilize our party members about the importance of going to obtain Permanent Voter Cards” (PVCs).

“This is the only way anyone can help bring about the necessary changes in the country.”

Yakasai stated that failure to obtain PVCs would allow other parties to gain an advantage over the APC, with the ruling party’s loss causing hardship in the country.

He urged party loyalists in the North to vote for Tinubu, even if only for the fact that he was instrumental in bringing President Muhammadu Buhari to power.

Alhaji Hamza Usman Darma, an elder statesman, described Tinubu as a good politician who has built a political bridge between the North and South.

“The Jagaban of Borgu, apart from his kinsmen back home, has helped many Northerners to actualize their political dreams,” he said. For his love of Northerners, he brought Atiku Abubakar and Nuhu Ribahdu into ACN and supported them in their presidential bids.

“And that was the man’s highest level of maturity, and I see no reason why Northerners would not repay him with good votes, allowing him to realize his dream of becoming Nigeria’s next president.”

Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, Managing Director of Kano State Road Transport Authority (KAROTA), praised the organizers for their foresight and solidarity with Tinubu and his vice Shettima.

“This group has done well,” he said, “at least by telling our party loyalists to get ready and vote for personalities who will use their experiences as ex-governors of their states to tackle security challenges like banditry, kidnapping, and cattle rustling, as well as revitalise the nation’s economy.”
