Presidency Congratulates Rema On Best Afrobeats Award Win At 2023 MTV VMAs

The Presidency, on Thursday, congratulated Nigerian music star, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema, on his ‘Best Afrobeats’ win at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.
This was made known in a statement released on the official X handle of the Presidency.
The statement read, “Congratulations to Nigeria’s very own – Rema on winning the ‘Best Afrobeats’ at the VMAs for his song ‘Calm Down’ with Selena Gomez.”
It further added that this award is just one milestone in Rema’s remarkable career as he continues to represent Nigeria on the world stage, breaking barriers and inspiring countless others.
It had earlier been reported that the music star achieved a remarkable milestone with his hit single, ‘Calm Down,’ which garnered over one billion streams on Spotify.
