In a statement released by his Media Aide, Oluwatosin Osho, Primate Ayodele expressed concern about the likelihood of state governors failing due to their disregard for instructions. He criticized the proposed allocation of funds for palliatives, emphasizing that providing money to individuals would be perceived as corrupt practices.
Ayodele suggested a redirection of funds towards agriculture, emphasizing the need to subsidize the costs of food commodities in the market. He cautioned against governors distributing funds for palliative purposes, proposing that NGOs and humanitarian bodies handle welfare provisions instead of government agencies.
According to Ayodele, engaging in agriculture and supporting local manufacturers is essential to curb the reliance on imported goods, thus dismissing the need for foreign currencies. He warned that failure to cooperate with such measures may result in unforeseen and shocking events in the coming eight months.
In conclusion, Ayodele emphasized the importance of government prudently managing its resources, advocating for a shift towards self-sustainability through agriculture and indigenous production
