PROSPERITY CUP: Nigerian Football Legend, Kanu, FIFA Agent, Paul Leads European Scouts To Yenagoa
The Local Organising Committee of Nigeria’s largest grassroot football tournament, the Prosperity Cup, is set to receive another set of international scouts, in Yenagoa.
The scouts from the FDC/ VISTA GELENDZHIK SCOUTING Programme/TOURNAMENT’S will be led by Nigeria’s legend and two time African footballer of the year Kanu Nwankwo and renowned International FIFA agent Paul Ojo Omamomo
They are billed to hit the Yenagoa on Friday 1st of June 2022 for a three-day scouting trials strictly for players under the age of 17.
This trials is the second in the series of international trials is in fulfilment of the pledge of His Excellency Governor Douye Diri to help project the talents that abound in Bayelsa to the international scene, in an attempt to enhance their livelihood and help them make a career in football. The last trials which ended in May saw 20 players selected and 7 talents on their way to ply their trade in Europe.
Selected Under 17 players from the Prosperity Cup 2022, Football academies in the state are by this information invited to be at the Samson Siasia Sports Complex, Yenagoa on Friday 1st July by 8am prompt for screening and trials.
The trials would last from Friday the 1st of July to Monday 4th July 2022.
