Ex-agitators Attribute Peaceful Protest In Niger Delta To Tinubu, Otuaro Performance

**By Okem Green Mbah,
YENAGOA____The national chairman Presidential Amnesty Programme Phase 2 Leaders Forum, Ibena Rufus Salvation, has attributed the peaceful nature of the hunger protest witnessed in the Niger Delta region to the outstanding performance of President Bola Tinubu and the PAP Administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro.
In a statement in Yenagoa on Sunday, Ibena said though the protest recorded in the region was very peaceful, he has joined the Administrator to plead with all citizens of the country Nigeria particularly the Niger Delta region to stop the protest.
He urged the protesters to understand with what President Tinubu has said in his nationwide broadcast, adding that they should put into consideration those areas the President has made positive development, progress and success within his one year in office.
The national chairman commended the Administrator’s all inclusive government and leadership style for reaching out to beneficiaries during this period of hardship.
He assured President Tinubu and the PAP Administrator of total support from all beneficiaries of the programme and urged the President to continue working with Otuaro to maintain the already existing peace in the region “because peace in Niger Delta is peace of Nigeria”.
Ibena also commended the managing director, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr Samuel Ogbuku, for his outstanding performance since he assumed office particularly the bridge constructions and ‘operation light up’ with solar lights in all the Niger Delta states without being partial in his projects.
He further solicited for a cordial and working relationship between the PAP Administrator and the NDDC boss in order to bring more development to the Niger Delta region.
