Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has lashed out at prominent Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi describing him as a ‘hungry and insatiable wolf that thirsts for blood.’

Fani-Kayode also alleged that Gumi has no morals but is interested in war despite his seemingly gentle looks.

The PDP chieftain further submitted that Gumi is not who he portrays himself to be, adding that those who trust the cleric do so at their own peril.

Sheik Ahmad Gumi is the physical manifestation and living personification of unadulterated and pure evil.

He speaks peace but war is in his heart.

Behind his seemingly gentle visage and soft words lies a hungry and insatiable wolf that thirsts for blood.

He is the quintessential Janjaweed terrorist: a man with no morals and no scruples.

He reminds me of the Pied Piper of Hamlin that led the children away. Those who trust him do so at their own peril.” Fani-Kayode stated in a tweet from his Twitter page on Friday.

TrackNews Online reports Gumi has become famous for his roles in negotiating with bandits after they kidnap and working out the release of their victims.

Only recently, Gumi revealed that the kidnapped students of the Greenfield University, Kaduna will soon be released.

Speaking on Thursday while receiving the parents of the 27 Afaka students on a thank-you visit to his Kaduna residence, Gumi said the remaining Greenfield varsity students will regain their freedom soon.

The controversial cleric noted that negotiation was ongoing for the release of the students, adding that the students are in good health.

Gumi, however, said that the bandits had decided not to kill the students after the parents failed to provide N100 million and 10 motorcycles for the bandits.

He said this after revealing the role played by himself and former President Olusegun Obasanjo in securing the release of 27 Afaka students noting that they both played the role of mediators in securing the release of the students.
