Qatar 2022: CAF reacts as Morocco fails to win World Cup third-place tie against Croatia

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has congratulated Morocco, despite their failure to win a medal at the 2022 World Cup.
The Atlas Lions enjoyed a historic outing at the tournament in Qatar.
They became the first African nation to reach the semi-final of the World Cup after they beat Portugal 1-0.
Morocco, however, finished fourth, after losing the third-place playoff 2-1 to Croatia.
Josko Gvardiol put the 2018 finalists ahead before Achraf Dari equalized just two minutes later.
However, Mislav Orsic scored the winner in the 42nd minute.
“Thank you Morocco They dared to dream and they absolutely delivered The best ever finish by an African Nation in the #FIFA World Cup,” CAF tweeted.
Africa’s other representatives at Qatar 2022 were Cameroon, Ghana, Senegal and Tunisia
