Reactions as Peter Obi celebrates Psquare’s 41st birthday
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has taken to social media to express his heartfelt gratitude to Nigerian music duo, Psquare, on their 41st birthday.
Celebrating the music duo on Friday, in a post on his Instagram page, Obi shared the photo of the twin brothers, Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye.
While appreciating them for being at the forefront of the Obidient movement, the presidential candidate prayed for more blessings for them.
He wrote, “My dear @imkingrudy and @peterpsquare of the Psquare fame, I wish you more blessings as you celebrate your birthday today. Thank you for lending your voice to the Obidient movement. Our labour will never be in vain. Happy birthday, Psquare.”
The duo were the first to openly declare support for Obi’s presidential ambition immediately after he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Peter Obi had in May announced his decision to leave PDP.
Reacting to Obi’s decision via his Twitter handle, Peter Okoye said his support for Peter Obi remains no matter the party he belongs to.
Peter said, “Anywhere Peter Obi goes, we move with him. No time. We are following him as an individual, not because of a party! We move.”
Paul Okoye also described Obi as the “most qualified” candidate
