REBUTTAL: TEKENANE ABAKA REMAINS SUBSTANTIVE CDC CHAIRMAN OF BILABIRI 1 COMMUNITY

**CALLS ON SPDC, GENERAL PUBLIC TO DIS-REGARD LUCKY TUBOTU’S BLASPHEMOUS HALLUCINATION.

The leadership of bilabiri 1 community has observed with utmost displeasure the fake and unfounded news circulating on media platforms that Tekenane Abaka is not the CDC chairman and that Shell petroleum development company SPDC and the general public shouldn’t associate whim him.

The community leadership in a press released has debunked the fake news cooked up by one notorious and mentally unstable son of Bilabiri 1 community Mr Lucky Tubotu, who has always sought for means to bring disregard and repute to the community.

The statement which was detailed and extensively captured the outcome of events in Bilabiri 1 community leading to the tenure extension of Mr Tekenane Abaka as CDC chairman, also called on the general public and most importantly the SPDC not to take Mr Lucky Abaka seriously as the community has no leadership tussle and that they can continue their cordial working relationship with Mr Tekenane Abaka.

The statement further reads;

“The attention of Bilabiri 1 Community has been drawn to an unfounded/untrue allegations and illegal publication made by one disgruntle and anti-progress individual by name Lucky Tubotu of Bilabiri 1 and 2 communities, that was made made via ‘’Spade Nigeria’’ media outfit on the 5th day of February, 2025, with the caption:
‘’Niger Delta Alert: Tubotu Warns SPDC-Do not Engage Expired CDC Chairman, Tekenane Abaka’’
That in line with the above false publication, this refutal publication of ours is necessary to state the true state of affairs and put the record straight as regard the true position with respect to Tekenane Abaka led community Development Committee (CDC) of our Bilabiri 1 community, together with the fact that our community is so peaceful and law abiding and led by people with high integrity and moral standing in the society”.

That the above caption notwithstanding, the said Lucky Tubotu also made false allegations, threat to the life of members of our community and non-indigenes in our community who are going about their lawful businesses, when in the said publication, he also stated thus:

(a) That the tenure of Tekenane Abaka led Bilabiri 1 Community Development Community has expired.

(b) Stating that Tekenane Abaka is an imposter who has refused to vacate office, despite the expiration of his tenure on the 15th day of December, 2024, and warned that peace will not return to Bilabiri 1 community, until Abaka is Arrested.

(c) He also referred to Abaka as a killer who has refused to leave office, despite using violence to assume power and also imposing himself on our people and using intimidation and instilling fear on our people, with this many more allegations too numerous to mention.

Against this backdrop The leadership of bilabiri 1 community wishes to bring to the notice of the public to counter the blasphemous allegations of a disgruntled lucky Tubotu.

“However, we want the general public, relevant government agencies and companies to note that, in our community congress held in 2024, the community unanimously extended the tenure of Tekenane Abaka led Community Development Committee (CDC) executive of Bilabiri 1 community in line with our long standing custom and tradition, since there is no working constitution for now in our Bilabiri 1 community. Furthermore, on the Tekenane led CDC issue, since there is no constitution in our community for now, it is our community congress that has the sole power to take important decisions like in the case of Tekenane led CDC, that will drive the community peacefully towards our desired growth/development.

That the resolution regards the extension of the Tekenane led CDC in our community, which was premised on the hard work and dedication of the Tekenane Abaka led Community Development Committee (CDC) executive of Bilabiri 1 community, and in line with same, we have given them several community assignments, which include working out modalities for the enactment of a working constitution for our community during their extended stay in office. That for the records, the Tekenane Abaka led Community Development Committee (CDC) executive of Bilabiri 1 community tenure has not expired, because of the said congress extension. That the minuites of meeting and attendance list of the said community congress that extended the tenure of Tekenane Abaka led CDC will be attached to this refutal publication for the benefit of the community.

That the said Lucky Tubotu is an individual that hardly come to the village, nor attend community meetings/congresses. That the said Lucky Tubotu also don’t make any meaningful contribute to the growth of our community, but only bent on and known for sending wrong signal about the peace and love we are enjoying community, because of the interest of his cohorts and pay masters, who have sworn not to see the progress of our community.

That it will interest the general public to note that, there is no iota of truth in the said publication of Lucky Tobutu, as stated in the said ‘’SECURITY MONITOR’’ and ‘’SPADE NIGERIA’’ media outfits, as no individual or group in our community is intimidated or harass. That the story about illegal weapon in our community is also false, also false is the stories about Tekenane Abaka, Ebimene Abaka, Ebike Adams, Aaron Douglas, Highness Soja Dede, Esopi Williams and Darius Wilson and we are therefore calling on the relevant security agencies to call Lucky Tubotu to immediately come forward and prove all the unfounded allegation he made in the said publications against them.

That the reason why Lucky Tobuto published this latest publication via ‘’SPADE NIGERIA’’ media outfit, is because of the fact that, our community has taken legal step to remove his main sponsor and cohort Captain Joshua Orupere, as our community representative in SPDC Estuaries Area (EA) Oil Field Host Community Trust (HCDT), through the filing of Suit N0: FHC/YNG/CS/11/2025, due to mismanagement of funds and other sundry issues.

That the above has angered the said Lucky Tubotu who is a chief beneficiary of Captain Joshua Orupere, and same has made him to threatened our community, when he stated in the said publication that peace will not return to Bilabiri 1 community, until Abaka is Arrested.

That based on the above threat made by Lucky Tubotu, some members of our community, some security personnel and oil company staffers are now living in fear of possible attack by Lucky Tubotu and his cohorts, all in a bid to distabalized the peace and progress we are enjoying in our community.

The said Lucky Tobutu and his pay master/boss Captain Joshua Orupere should note that, the time when our community is deprived of our due benefits from our representative is long gone, as we will continue through lawful means and procedure to claim all rights and benefits due our community, even if the likes of Captian Joshua Orupere, Lucky Tubotu and their cohorts like it, or not.

Based on the aforestated, the said Lucky Tubotu should not be taken seriously and should be called to order by a further invitation and immediate move for his arrest by the relevant security agencies, even as the Nigerian Police Force is still intensifying the search for him having been evading their invitation, so as for him to refrain from trying to cause a total breakdown of law and order in our community, nor to tarnish the image and good name of our CDC Chairman Tekenane Abaka, Ebimene Abaka, Ebike Adams, Aaron Douglas, Highness Soja Dede, Esopi Williams and Darius Wilson and stop giving false statements to the public, as to the happenings and position of things in our community, because our community is one of the most peaceful communities in Bayelsa State, contrary to the false claims/publications by the said Lucky Tubotu and his cohorts”.
