Reno Omokri Speaks On Joining APC
A former presidential aide and book writer, Reno Omokri, has reacted to claims of him wanting to join the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Omokri in a post on his verified Twitter account said he can never join the Nigeria ruling party come what may.
TrackNews Online understands that Omokri’s statement is coming after the backlash of his recent commendation of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Omokri who is a loyalist of former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan recently applauded Buhari for visiting Borno State amidst fears of insecurity in the state.
According to Omokri, the visit is proof that the president was improving and listening to Nigerians. However, the award-winning book writer said he commended Buhari because he being objective and not destructive.
Also on June 12, 2021, Omokri praised Buhari for completing the Lagos-Ibadan railway project kick-started by Jonathan’s administration.
He, however, vowed to organise another rally to harass the Nigerian president if he travels to London for medical attention.
Omokri’s tweet reads: “If Buhari does well, I will commend. If he does wrong, I will oppose. I can NEVER be settled, nor will I EVER join the APC.
“I am objective, not destructive. And God sparing my life, I will organise #HarassBuhariOutofLondon part 2 if Buhari dares return to London for ANY treatment.”
