Rhodes-Vivour, the LP’s governor candidate, promises to capitalize on Lagos’s potential.
Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the Labour Party (LP) gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, has stated that if elected, his administration will fully exploit the State’s tourism potentials.
Gbadebo made the remarks while speaking at the Ikorodu Oga day in Lagos on Friday.
He described the festival as the most celebrated in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, but he also mentioned that many cultural activities in other parts of the state have been abandoned for a long time.
According to Rhodes-Vivour, if the jettisoned areas are reawakened, the state’s economic status will rise above the ranks.
The candidate explained that the administration will be distinguished by the fact that tourism has grown significantly in economic and social importance.
“By the grace of God, when we come to power in 2023, our administration will fully exploit the state’s tourism potential.”
“There is no doubt that this festival is the most celebrated in Lagos’s Ikorodu area, and it has drawn millions of people.”
“It is important to note that many cultural activities have been abandoned in other areas of the state for a long time.”
“When these areas are reawakened, the state’s economic status will rise above the ranks and it will be able to compete on a global scale.”
“Knowing that tourism has grown significantly in both economic and social importance will allow us to distinguish the administration, even as we turn things around in terms of tourism.” He stated.
He congratulated the people of Ikorodu on the occasion, wishing them many more years of development and growth.
