Rt. Hon. Tonye Isenah Attends 33rd Inter House Sports of GSS Odi

Gives NECO Scholarship worth over 1 million naira to 40 students.

In Bayelsa State the Government Secondary School, Odi in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area hold her annual Inter-House Sports under The Chairmanship of Prof. Etebu Ebimieowei The President Government Secondary School, Odi Alumini and Special Guest of Honour, Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah, Member Representing Kolokuma/Opokuma Constituency 1 in the State Assembly and host of others dignitaries present.

In the event TrackNews Correspondence who was live Reports that both the Host Principal Government Secondary School, Odi Mr. Jephthah Adamson Ebi and The Chairman of the event Prof. Etebu in their separate Speech thank God and welcome everyone to the August Event and also express their gratitude to the government of Bayelsa State ably lead by His Excellency Sen. Douye Diri and the Alumini of Government Secondary School, Odi for their unreserved support for the School.

The duo also express their overwhelming joy of the Event in spite of the challenge pose by the pitch. Prof. Etebu said as an Alumni of Government Secondary School, Odi he’s filled with joy to be alive to Chairman and Event of his Ama-matter; seeing his children in a colourful display is a thing of joy.

He however call on Government, Private Citizens and particularly the Alumini to give back to the school by making the pitch a standard one, because it’s a thing of joy to once in a while visit your root and give back to them and the society at large.

On the part of the Special Guest of Honour Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah he equally express his undisputable joy for being privilege to witness the Event and used the medium to pay NECO fee of 40 students who were yet unable to enroll for their SSCE.
And he appeal for calm over the state of the pitch; That as a Representative of the people in the State Assembly he will communicate the plight of the School to the Government for urgent attention as the school is the genesis of his life.

He equally used the medium to call on Government and Private Organization to use event of this nature for Talent hunting in the Sports Sector for our young ones, he said.

In a closing remark the Games Mistress, Mrs. Aseyemi Cordial express the School Management profound gratitude to God Almighty, the Chairman, Guests and students for their support and participation.

She particularly thank Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah for the perimeter fencing of the school that has given the school a new look, she said.
