RTEAN expressed his support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Alhaji Musa Muhammed, National President of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), expressed his support for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, yesterday.
He stated that the APC candidate is still the one to beat in the 2023 general election.
Muhammed, who was recently elected National Treasurer of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), spoke out in support of RTEAN’s National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Abdulrahman Amusan, in a statement issued in Lagos.
The national president, who is also the Lagos State Chairman of RTEAN, stated that he has always supported the APC and that 2023 will be no exception.
“The union’s leadership also remains a staunch supporter of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC presidential candidate in 2023.”
“I am still a genuine APC member.” Since 2015, I have not been a member of any other political party.
“I back the APC and the Lagos State government.” As the Lagos government supports Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambition, I support Asiwaju as well,” he said.
According to him, the union boldly supported APC in 2015 and 2019, and will do so again in 2023.
Muhammed praised Sanwo-performance, Olu’s adding that Asiwaju Tinubu had also contributed significantly to the development and empowerment of many people across the country.
“I, as a card-carrying member of APC, throw my weight behind APC, from local government to federal level, with all my members,” he added.
Muhammed assured all stakeholders that the union’s harmonious relationship with the Lagos State government would continue.
The RTEAN President stated that the union’s leadership would hold a rally to show its support for the state’s ruling party.
“We have also directed all of our members to go pick up their Permanent Voter Registration Cards” (PVCs).
“We will soon launch ‘Operation Show Your Voter’s Cards’ across the federation.”
“All members will showcase their PVCs in our upcoming mega rally, which is in the works,” Muhammed added.
