Sanctions Trail BBC, Daily Trust Over Terrorism Reporting

The Federal Government of Nigeria has through its announcement department at the office of the Minister of Information, Mr. Lai Mohammed, has vowed that it is ready to penalise the BBC Africa Eye and Daily Trust for airing respective documentaries that allegedly glorifying and fueling terrorism, and banditry in Nigeria.
Mohammed made it known that the Federal Government is conscious of the unprofessional documentary by the BBC, Africa Eye, where interviews were granted to bandit warlords and terror gangs, thereby accelerating terror in the country as claimed by him.
The Minister slammed the BBC for not upholding the same standards and manners as they would have done in the UK.
Also, Mr. Lai berated the Trust Tv, a subsidiary managed by Media Trust Limited for using its space to grant interviews to a bandit lead, Mr. Shehu Rekeb, thereby increasing the menace of terrorists too.
In his words, the duo are by their actions have become allies to unknown gunmen and bandits claiming that they are reporting crisis of the insurgency.
The minister added that the appropriate regulatory body was already examining the infractions and that the right sanctions would be meted to both platforms.
