Secondary School Student Stabbed To Death During Argument Over Whose Father Is Richer

A final-year student of O’Reilly Senior High School in Okpoi-Gonno, Accra, Ghana, Edward Borketey Sackey, was on Tuesday, September 4, stabbed to death during an argument with friends.
This unfortunate incident marks the second student murder at the school, raising serious concerns over the safety of students and the effectiveness of the school’s management
Eyewitnesses reported that the argument, which started over a debate about whose father was wealthier, escalated quickly into a physical altercation. During the fight, one of the students reportedly pulled out a sharp object and stabbed Edward multiple times.
Social media users and concerned community members are accusing the school of neglecting its responsibility to ensure the safety and welfare of its students. Many believe that the lack of proper security and failure to maintain order contributed to this tragic outcome.
The authorities at O’Reilly Senior High School are yet to release an official statement addressing the concerns surrounding the incident.
