Security operatives also entitled to human rights – Group to Nigerians

A group has sued for continuous support from members of the public as the Nigerian military intelligence and security agencies continue their battle against terrorism and other forms of criminalities in the country.
While advising against comments and tendencies capable of demoralising law enforcement operatives, the group reminded the public that the men and women in uniform are also entitled to the right to life, including other fundamental human rights.
The Citizens United Against Subversion (CUAS) commended the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Police, para-military and other relevant security agencies for addressing substantially the security challenges confronting the nation.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by Dr Abu Mallam and Mrs Chinonyelum Ogundele, the National Coordinator and Secretary, respectively
