See why Chelsea’s Kai Havertz withdraws from Germany squad

Chelsea attacker, Kai Havertz has withdrawn from the Germany squad due to illness.
The Germany football Association (DFB) confirmed on Sunday that Havertz and defender Nico Schlotterbeck had withdrawn from their squad due to illness and a thigh problem, respectively.
Havertz, who travelled back to London on Sunday, started as Germany defeated Peru 2-0 in an international friendly on Saturday.
He will have no role to play in Germany’s next game against Belgium on Tuesday.
Havertz is the second Chelsea player to withdraw from international duty this weekend, with Reece James also returning to the west London club after sustaining a hamstring injury.
The Germany international will hope to recover on time for Chelsea’s next Premier League tie against Aston Villa on April 1.
