Senator Drops Shocking Update On How PDP In Delta Is Gradually Drowning and Dying

By Adeleye Kunle
Senator James Manager, who represents Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly on the Peoples Democratic Party platform, stated on Saturday that the Delta state chapter of the PDP is gradually fading out, TrackNews reports.
Manager expressed his concerns in a signed statement made available to Warri journalists.
The statement was made in response to the Federal High Court in Abuja’s decision to disqualify Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori as the PDP’s governorship candidate in the state.
Senator Manager denied filing a lawsuit against any of the Delta PDP candidates in the statement.
“I want to react to a trending story on a section of the media that I initiated a court case against one of the PDP governorship aspirants in Delta State,” the statement said in part.
“The purported story sponsored by well-known political merchants is a cesspool of lies and a journalism junkyard from which stories against leading political figures are fabricated.”
“It is yet another desperate attempt to drag my humble self into the mud-sliding and regrettable-avoidable political quagmire in which we all find ourselves today in Delta PDP.”
“I’ve been in politics for nearly 30 years, and these ridiculous insinuations sponsored and peddled in the media by political operatives are not my style.”
“Over the years, my approach to issues like this has evolved. Nothing could be further from the truth than this story.
“As the party’s first State Chairman and, by extension, the father of the PDP in Delta State, I would not do anything to exacerbate the party’s and Deltans’ problems because Delta is PDP and PDP is Delta.”
“I’m deeply disturbed by today’s events at the party.” I would not pretend to be ignorant while the party drowns and dies gradually.
“Even if no one else is seeing it, I am seeing it and feeling it intensely.” I would have started some preliminary actions pro bono, but I’m limited because I’m directly involved as a contender. With suggestions and interventions, I want to be extremely cautious.
“Going forward, we must pray to God Almighty and believe in His Supremacy.” May God not allow those both inside and outside the PDP who have all used its platform to amass the big names they have today to demolish it. AMEN! May that day never come!”
