Shehu Sani Advised Tinubu to Share N50k on Mondays to End Sit-at-Home in S’East
Former Kaduna central senator, Shehu Sani, has advised the President Bola Tinubu-led federal government and governors of the south-east on the best possible way to end the menace of sit-at-home currently affecting economic activities in the region.
TRACKNEWS recalls that the factional leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Simon Ekpa, has been issuing several sit-at-home orders in the south-eastern part of the country in protest of the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu.
Reacting to the situation, Sani suggested that since the sit-at-home is usually observed on Mondays, the government should start sharing N50,000 palliatives to south-east residents in marketplaces every Monday.
In a tweet on Sunday, the former lawmaker wrote: “Share 50k palliatives in the market every Monday to end sit-at-home.”
Meanwhile, the Army has announced deployment of heavy security to raid IPOB hideouts and smoke out enforcers of the illegal sit-at-home orders.
