Slimcase Reveals Pitiable Case Of Most Upcoming Rappers In Nigeria

Popular artiste, Oluwafemi Oko-Eko, popularly known as Slimcase, has taken to social media to speak of the difficulty most Nigerian artists go through on their journey to the limelight in the industry.
This is coming after Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga claimed that the Afrobeats industry has no respect for Hip-hop artitses.
Tracknews recalls that the rapper via his Twitter handle in a series of tweets, lamented bitterly about how he was denied the opportunity to meet with American rapper, Rick Ross.
He added that he wasn’t surprised by their action, promising to continue to make great music for the ones who truly care.
Reacting to the development, the singer, Slimcase who struggled to gain recognition on the music scene years back, before seeming to hit the jackpot in 2018, noted how difficult it is for rappers without ‘afro hook’ to gain recognition in Nigeria.
According to the singer, it is not easy for both rappers and singers alike to gain the limelight with ‘afrobeat hook’
He said; ”It’s not easy for a singer to blow in Nigeria. it’s even harder for rappers without afrobeat hook”
