Sokoto Governor, Aliyu nullifies Tambuwal’s appointments, revokes land allocations
The Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmad Aliyu has announced the nullification of all recent appointments into the State Civil Service made by former Governor of the State, Aminu Tambuwal, after March 19, 2023.
Aliyu also suspended recent appointments of Traditional Rulers made by the former governor.
The announcement was contained in statement issued by the Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa.
According to Bawa, the Governor also reversed the renaming of Tertiary Institutions in the State and other appointments related to their Governing Councils and their relocations.
The Governor also directed that land allocations made by Tambuwal should be revoked with immediate effect.
“All recent appointments of Traditional Rulers made by the former Governor of Sokoto State Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal are hereby suspended and will be reviewed in due course in the public interest,” part of the statement read
