Soldiers apprehend the leader of the Osun NURTW
By Adeleye Kunle
Kazeem Oyewale, a leader of the National Union of Road Transport Workers’ Osun state chapter, also known as ‘Asiri Eniba,’ has been arrested.
Soldiers arrested Oyewale, the Chairman of the NURTW’s Olorunda unit, in the afternoon at his Ojurin, Osogbo motor park office.
The arrest of the transport union leader could be linked to a recent petition to law enforcement agencies by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) accusing the NURTW chieftain of instigating attacks on security agents.
The arrest was said to have caused chaos as bystanders, passengers, and drivers fled for safety.
