At yesterday’s plenary, the speaker, Hon Uche Okafor, read the governor’s letter dated July 5, 2022.

The request was then referred to the House Committee on Public Accounts, which will report to the House on July 21,2022.

Meanwhile, the state’s N169.6 billion Revised Appropriation Bill for 2022 has been approved by the House.

The bill was passed after the House Finance and Appropriation Committee, chaired by Hon Obinna Emeneka, adopted its report during plenary.

The report was presented by Emeneka, who represents Anambra East Constituency, who stated that the revised budget included N108 billion in capital expenditure and N61.3 billion in recurrent expenditure.

“With the exception of minor adjustments in the allocation of some ministries, departments, and agencies, we recommend that the size of the 2022 revised budget be retained,” Emenaks said.
