Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,

Senator Victor Umeh, who is the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has revealed how he was coerced out of the party by some of its leaders.

Recall that the Senator, who is running race for the Central Senatorial space under the umbrella of the Labour Party in 2023, revealed those who carted him out of the party during the primaries are now afraid to face him.

While having an interview with TrackNews Nigeria on Friday in Awka, Anambra State, he alleged that some APGA cheiftains ganged up against him to make certain he did not win the senatorial ticket. He added that his reconciliation with former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of LP, Mr. Peter Obi, was godly.

He recalled how he and Obi had separated for 10 years but that Labour Party had brought them together again. “When the opportunity came I saw it as privilege to seek another mandate to continue to champion the struggle in the Senate. People kept us apart for 10years; 2012 till this year. But we’re back together, it’s divine. The task ahead of us is enormous.

“I’ve quarreled with him, but at no time have I doubted his management of resources. He’s only one with the solution for Nigeria,” Umeh said. He added that those who were contesting against him across the other political parties had become afraid because according to him, “they know my pedigree, my capacity and the love my constituents have for me.”
