Speaking about his relationship with Obaseki, Oshiomhole

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Adams Oshiomhole, a former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has spoken candidly about his friendship with Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo State.
Despite their tense relationship, the former governor of Edo admitted that he has a stronger bond with his successor.
Only two years have passed since Oshiomhole’s confrontation with Obaski during the electioneering for his second term ticket.
Despite efforts made by various parties to settle their differences, the rivalry ultimately prompted Obaseki to leave the APC for the Peoples Democratic Party.
Osagie Ize-Iyamu, Oshiomhole’s chosen candidate and the APC flag bearer, was beaten by the governor.
Despite the media battles between the Obaseki and Oshiomhole camps, both politicians always behaved politely when they encountered one another at official events.
Oshiomhole stressed that Obaseki has moved on in an interview with The Tracknews on Friday, saying that he is still his close brother and friend.
The former APC chairman claimed it was an honor to have worked with Obaseki and that God had used him to ensure that he would succeed him. He recalled pleasant memories of their time spent together as well.
For myself, I’ve moved on, he declared. Obaseki is still my friend and brother. I had the privilege of working with him, and God, with all the power of the universe, used me to make sure he was elected governor of Edo State.
“God sometimes wants us to understand that He is the only one who has complete knowledge. The beginning and the end are only known to him. When everything seems to make sense, we humans rejoice in our intelligence. But occasionally, God steps in to let us know that we don’t have all the answers and that we only have so much life experience. He’s still my friend and brother.
“We did not have a boss-and-subordinate relationship when I was governor and he worked for me. He was one of the few people that used my moniker. We didn’t reserve different hotel suites when we went on overseas excursions together. Instead, we stayed at a hotel and had separate rooms within the same suite. That is how near we came.
