Sports Commissioner congratulates Diri on victory
Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Chief Baraladei Daniel Igali today congratulated Douye Diri incumbent governor of Bayelsa State, on his victory in Saturday’s gubernatorial election in the state.
Chief Baraladei Daniel Igali (the Abadi Pere 1 of Eniwari Kingdom), who also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and national security agencies for ensuring that the elections were free, fair and credible, thanked the people of Bayelsa State for their massive turn-out to exercise their franchise and voted for the “BEST CHOICE”.
The Olympic Champion said the people of Bayelsa State have spoken the truth about their governor and the people-oriented policies and that it could be possible to deny what is being said but certainly it is not possible to deny what the eyes could see as the Douye Diri administration has done perfectly well in all sectors of the State.
Chief Igali, who is also the President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, said the wide margin of the victory was a validation of the confidence reposed in Governor Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo by the people to move Bayelsa State to greater heights.
Dr. Baraladei Daniel Igali said he has seen a new lease of life for the people of Bayelsa State over the past three-and-half years, due to the radical improvements in the quality of governance the Prosperity Government introduced.
He also prayed for renewed strength for the Prosperity Administration to turn things around for the betterment of Bayelsa State.
