Akwa United will continue their quest for a third Federation Cup title in eight years when they square up against EFCC Football Club in a Round of 32 game.
The Promise Keepers will take on the Nigeria National League side today at the Awka City Stadium, Enugu.
The two-time champions made it to the round of 32 after recording a 1-0 win over Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in Enugu, while EFCC overcame Katukan Tsafe FC of Zamfara in the round of 64.
Akwa United tactician Ayodeji Ayeni is expected to name a formidable team for the knockout game against the Abuja-based side.
Ayeni is banking on the goalscoring exploit of his team to progress in the competition.
The winner of the tie will qualify for the round of 16 of the competition.
The 2023 winner of the Federation Cup will represent Nigeria in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup competition
