Champions League: 5 clubs qualify for Round of 16 with two games to spare
By Adeleye Kunle
Following Wednesday’s Champions League group fixtures, at least five clubs have qualified for the Round of 16.
Before yesterday, only Manchester City and Real Madrid progressed into the next knockout stage.
They have been joined by Bayern Munich, Club Brugge, and Napoli.
Bayern claimed a 4-2 win over Viktoria Plzen to confirm their spot.
Club Bruges reached the Champions League knockout stage for the first time with a 0-0 draw at Atletico Madrid.
The 18-time Belgian champions have failed to progress from the group stage in their previous 10 attempts but go through with an unbeaten record.
Napoli also beat Ajax 4-2 in Naples to seal their place in the next round
