U-23 AFCON Qualifier: Olympic Eagles promised $20,000 to beat Tanzania

The Olympic Eagles will earn a sum of $20,000 if they beat Tanzania in the first leg of their U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiying fixture in Dar es Salaam on Saturday.
Chairman, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) task force on youth competitions, Aminu Balele Kurfi made the announcement on the eve of the team’s departure for Dar es Salaam.
The players and their officials departed for the East African country on Thursday night via a Kenyan Airways flight.
The game is billed for the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
The reverse fixture will hold at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, on October 29.
The winner over two legs will proceed to the final round of the qualifiers.
The 2023 AFCON will serve as the qualifiers for the 2024 Olympic Games to be hosted in Paris, France
