Subsidy removal: Roland Suoba distributes palliative to Muslim community in Bayelsa State
The recent removal of the petrol subsidy by the FG and the attendant hike in the pump price has adversely impacted socio-economic activities.
The multiplier effect of this policy of government is the prevailing hardship faced by citizens due to the increasing cost of living.
In keeping with his commitment to the welfare and well-being of his people, the former NYCN Vice Chairman Central, Comrade Roland Suoba, has extended his palliative gesture to the Muslim community in Bayelsa State. As a way of supporting the state and federal government of Nigeria. Vowed to sustain this path.
The Southern Ijaw born philanthropist says the gesture is poised to cushion the effects of the economic hardship occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy in the country.
In an official statement issued by the Secretary of the Bayelsa State Council for Islamic Affairs Comrade Alahaji Yakubu W. Boleigha expressed great joy on behalf of the beneficiaries in the various IMAMs who got the Palliative and appreciated the NYCN boss for the initiative, noting that he is the first private citizen in the state to identify with the Muslim community and prayed the Almighty God to bless him.
Mr Roland Suoba said it is the first phase as plans are underway for the next phase.
Beneficiaries cut across Ekeki Central Mosque, Arietaliene, Nedugo abgbia, Ogbogoro, as well as the leadership of the Bayelsa State Council of Islamic affairs.
It will be recalled that Comrade Suobai has earlier donated to Christians and church leaders in the state.
