Sunday Igboho: We Are Not Aware Of Lagos Yoruba Nation Rally – Police

The Lagos State Police Command has said it does not know that Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo Igboho planning to storm Lagos.

Sunday Igboho had announced that he would be coming to Lagos for a Yoruba nation rally.

But the Lagos police said they are not aware of any planned protest by the Yoruba activist.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said this in an interview with DailyPost on Monday.

Adejobi said the command would react appropriately when it is informed of the planned mass rally in Lagos.

He said: “I am not aware of that (Sunday Igboho’s planned Lagos rally). When the command is aware, the command will react to that. For now, as I speak with you, we are not aware of that.”

TrackNews Online understands Igboho is expected in Lagos on July 3, 2021 at the Ojota park in continuation of the rally for the creation of Yoruba nation.

Similar rallies have been held in Osun, Ogun, Ekiti, and Ondo states, it will be recalled.

Speaking during a live video chat, Sunday Igboho through his spokesperson, Olayomi Koiki, insisting there is no going back on the Yoruba Nation peaceful rally.

He said: “We are sending a peaceful message to Governor Sanwo-Olu. We do not mind any other person who is saying we should not come to Lagos.

“Sanwo-Olu is the chief security officer of the land and we are coming to Lagos.

“July 3rd is the most important date; nobody cannot say we should not come to Lagos. It is a peaceful rally.

“We have gone to Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and we had peaceful rallies, so nobody can stop us from not coming to Lagos.”
