Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) interest group in the South-east, the Tinubu/Shettima Southeast Youth Movement, would back Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election.

The movement’s chairman, Emeka Anike, said that the organization will use all practical means to guarantee that Tinubu wins the election since “he remains the candidate with the highest possibility of winning” yesterday during the induction of its South-east executives in Enugu State.

Anike asserted Tinubu possessed the leadership skills necessary to transform Nigeria, citing the manner in which he accomplished this in Lagos State. She went on to add that the APC candidate will similarly revolutionize Nigeria if given the chance.

The most crucial thing, he emphasized “Ndigbo would have more prospects in Nigeria’s political system when Tinubu is elected as a result of our work. We will be in a stronger position to bargain and be fairly represented in Nigerian concerns.

Since the nation’s return to democracy in 1999, Anike emphasized, there have been significant injustices in the Nigerian state toward the Southeast. This is due to its subpar political maneuvering.

According to the group, the region had chosen to place all of its political eggs in the Peoples Democratic Party basket even though other regions had the foresight to diversify their political platforms (PDP).

This has come back to haunt Ndigbo, he said.”

We can’t allow this to happen again in light of the fact that neither of Nigeria’s two major political parties offered us a ticket this time around, and that the PDP recently exploited and abandoned the Southeast.

The group leader stated, “We cannot keep participating in this stupid form of politics, which is why we have chosen to support the APC’s presidential candidate.

He said that the group would build its local government and ward executives in each state in the Southeast before starting an active voter mobilization push.
