SWAGA seeks Badagry monarchs’ support for Tinubu

Eminent politicians, who are urging the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to run for the President in 2023, yesterday went to the Badagry Division in Lagos State to seek the support of monarchs.
Although Tinubu, the former Lagos State governor, has not declared his intention, many groups are urging him to run.
Former Minister of State for Works, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, who led the Southwest Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA’23), urged the traditional rulers to prevail on their son, Tinubu, to contest the 2023 presidential election.
He advised the Badagry leaders to prevail on Asiwaju Tinubu to contest because he would render invaluable services to the country.
Adeyeye described Tinubu as a competent person, a crowd puller and a believer in the deployment of human potentials for development.
The Onijanikin of Ijanikin kingdom, Oba Momodu Afolabi, said monarchs in Lagos would be partners in progress in the assignment.
He said: “We the league of traditional rulers will also be involved financially.
“Lagos Obas are ready to support Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in this contest.”
Royal fathers at the SWAGA parley were Oba Momodu Afolabi, the Onijanikin of Ijanikin; Oba Nofiu Dada Elete of Ete Kingdom; Oba Abideen Adekanbi, Osolu of Irewe Kingdom; Oba Monbadenle Oyekan, Onilado of Ilodo; Oba Caleb Adeniyi, Olojo of Ojo; Oba N.
