SWAN President Ahmed Aigbona Is Dead
President of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Ahmed Aigbona is dead.
TrackNews Online gathered that the journalist died around 11pm on Sunday night.
Aigbona hailed from Auchi in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.
Confirming his death, the Auchi Indigenes Club, Benin City Branch stated that, “It is with deep heart and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah that I announce the demise this evening of Ahmed Aigbona, our brother and National SWAN President.
“The details leading to his death are still sketchy. The club has already swung into action and we have taken possession of the body and moving it to a mortuary from where we will proceed to Auchi tomorrow morning.
“It is a tight movement and I implore members that will be available to join the train to Auchi tomorrow morning In Shaa Allah.
“The VP will be leading the movement and other arrangements will be announced in due course.
“Kindly relate this urgent message to members that are not on this platform. Death is an inevitable end, it comes unannounced.
“May God forgive the shortcomings of our broder Ahmed Aigbona and grant him the best of Aljanat Firdaous. Ameen. Special thanks to members that quickly swung into action at very short notice. May Allah reward us all. Amin.”
