Sylva is not a Candidate ~ Daniel Alabrah

The Chief Press Secretary to The Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Daniel Alabrah has said the Court judgement that invalidated the Candidature of the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Chief Timipre Marlin Sylva which has not been upturned nor stay of execution granted, will be unlawful for him or anyone to refer to Sylva as a Candidate in the forthcoming Bayelsa State Gubernatorial election.

Alabrah made this assertion when he appeared on a TrackNews Live TV Programme, Prosperity Hour where he highlighted the gains of the Prosperity Government.

The Chief Press Secretary who describe the governor as man loved and cherished by the entire state for what he is doing, ranging from the peace Bayelsans are enjoying under his watch, visible & sustainable infrastructural developmental Projects and Programmes across all sector and the State.

Mr Alabrah said to him, there is no contest in the coming election, as no Candidate is a match to the governor with his track records of achievements.

“Upon the Governor assumption of office you can see how the narrative in Etegwe Roundabout and it environs have changed and made peaceful without shedding any blood and the three senatorial roads that are ongoing” Alabrah said.

According to Alabrah, the gains of the Sports Sector cannot be over emphasized; as Bayelsa State is doing well in all competitions within and outside Nigeria.

He said in Human Capacity Development, the Diri Skills Acquisition has trained and empowered more than 10,000 Bayelsans and the Governor went ahead to boost Small Scale Businesses by giving N200, 000 cash to four persons per Ward across the 105 Wards in the State to help boost the local economy.

In the Education sector, the Governor has built 8 Technically School and just commissioned three; the Ayamasa, Ofoni & Sampou Technically College. Our Teachers has been equipped to teach our pupils with technology.
In the Health Sector you can see how improved the Bayelsa Health Insurance Scheme and the use of drones for delivering drugs to our Rural Communities.

On alleged attack on APC members in KOLGA, Alabrah condemned and describe it as unfortunate, and that the governor will never subscribe to any form of Political violence on Bayelsans and anyone found wanting should be handed over to the security agency for the law to take it course and urged Bayelsans not to accommodate any form of hostility against their own people especially for Political reason.

On Chief Joshua Maciver remark in Twon Brass, Alabrah describe it as one of the most unholy, unfortunate and shameful statement from a leader in the history of Bayelsa, and call on the security agencies to arrest and investigate him and advised Chief Joshua Maciver to apologize to Bayelsans for his remarks and that his statement has shown he is not worthy of being a leader in the first place not to talk of a candidate in an election of this magnitude and that he cannot refer to Sylva as a candidate in the forthcoming election.

Mr Daniel Alabrah, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Douye Diri, urged all eligible voters to come out in their numbers on the 11th of November, 2023 to vote massively for Governor Douye Diri for second term and to protect their vote.

He added that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the security agencies should be professional in their duty as they don’t want a repeat of what happened in 2019.
