Teenager Stabs 60-Year-Old Woman To Death In Ogun

The Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force is currently investigating a homicide that occurred at Omolara Street Yakoyo in the Ojodu area of the state.
A teenager identified as Godwin Ogbeifu is said to have engaged one Iyabo Olasheinde in an altercation after the latter banned him from visiting their compound.
Tracknews Online learnt that the 17-year-old boy who is a resident of Akoko Crescent after being warned visited Olasheinde’s compound recently and was chased out of the house by the resident.
Angered that he was been sent out of the house, Ogbeifu who has a hearing impediment called on his 35-year-old mother, Mary Ogbeifu and both stormed Olasheinde’s compound in rage.
In the course of their argument as to why the teenager was sent away from the compound, Mary’s deaf-mute son reportedly took a broken bottle which he brought with him and used it to stab Olasheinde on her neck.
Narrating the incident after the arrest of the culprit and his mother, Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the young boy was arrested alongside his mother following a distress call received by the police at Ojodu Abiodun Division, Ifo Local Government Area of the state.
The PPRO further explained that the DPO of Ojodu Abiodun police station, SP Eyitayo Akinluwade, upon learning of the incident, mobilized his men to the scene, where both the mother and son were nabbed.
While confirming that the body of the woman was deposited at the mortuary for autopsy, Oyeyemi added that the state Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole has ordered that the case be moved to the Homicide Section of the State CID for further investigation.
