The wife of a top Nigerian military officer is one of the freed victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train kidnapping.
According to a military source, Bosede Tuwase was one of the seven hostages released on Saturday.
The lady is Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Olurotimi Anthony Tuwase’s wife.
“Among those released are a Pakistani and Bosede Olurotimi.” She is the wife of AVM A. O. Tuwase.
“We’d all known since then,” the source said, “but the information had been kept hidden.”
Tuwase is the Commandant of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), which is located in Jaji, near Kaduna.
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) announced new postings in January.
Insurgents ambushed the ‘AK9’ train of the Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC).
On Monday, March 28, it was attacked between Katari and Rijana.
The NRC reports that 398 passengers purchased tickets and 362 boarded; some were killed, while others were kidnapped.
More than 110 days after the Kaduna ambush, the terrorists still have dozens of captives.
